This is a healthy hamster treat blend featuring dried vegetables, grains and seeds. The mix weighs around 120g so will last a fair amount of time.

The very veggie hamster treat mix contains:

• Dried broccoli pieces
• Dried pumpkin pieces
• Dried courgette pieces
• Hulled millet
• Pumpkin seeds
• Wholegrain pot barley

Is the Very Veggie Treat Mix Safe for Hamsters?

Everything in the mix has been frozen at -20°c for 48+ hours (with the exception of the dried vegetables as these have already been through a drying process) so you can use it out of the bag with confidence.

How to use the Very Veggie Treat Mix

You can hand feed the treat mix to facilitate bonding with your hamster or you can sprinkle it around their foraging area for them to find on their own.

Why was the Very Veggie Treat Mix Created?

Flamey loves vegetables especially courgette and broccoli. I wanted him to be able to enjoy his favourite veg but I didn't want to eat broccoli three times a week to avoid wasting what Flamey didn't eat! The dried veg is a much better way to let Flamey enjoy his favourites in a more balanced way. Adding his favourite grains and seeds made it a really nice forage mix that we wanted to share with the rest of our hamster friends.

Please note, when exposed to air for any length of time the vegetables begin to go soft. This is the same with most dried foods. This is fine for your hamster, it's just because the dried vegetables are absorbing natural moisture from the environment.
