Shipping policy

At Hamster Helper, I aim to make shipping as smooth and hassle-free as possible for you. Here’s everything you need to know about our shipping process:

Shipping Method

All orders are shipped with Royal Mail Tracked 24. A tracking number will be provided with your order dispatch. If you have provided a phone number and email you will also get updates from Royal Mail.

Postage Fees

  • Flat-rate shipping fee: £4.99 per order (not per item).
  • Free shipping on all orders over £50.

Adding to Your Order

If you place an order and forget to add something, please message me! I may be able to help you add to your order without you having to pay additional postage fees.

Dispatch Times

I aim to dispatch all orders as quickly as possible, even though dispatch times across the site are generally marked as 2 business days. In most cases, I try to ship orders the same day or next day.

Here’s the schedule I aim to stick to:

  • Orders placed before 3pm Monday to Friday: Posted the same day where possible. If we are super busy it will be the day after.
  • Orders placed after 3pm Monday to Friday: Posted the following day.
  • Orders placed after 3pm Friday and over the weekend: Posted on Monday.

From time to time, there may be a slight delay (e.g., due to appointments), but I always do my best to keep you informed.

Delivery Times

Royal Mail Tracked 24 typically delivers within 24 hours after dispatch (Monday to Friday). While most parcels arrive promptly, please allow up to 10 working days before contacting me about any delivery delays. Royal Mail don't allow me to look into lost parcels until 10 working days have elapsed.
