1 litre of hamster safe textured soil weighs around 317g but the weight varies depending on how wet or dry it is when it's weighed which is why I sell by volume rather than weight.

Is this soil hamster safe?

Yes. The soil is natural coconut coir in chip and soil form so it's made with coconuts and nothing has been added after. There are no chemicals, dyes, fertilisers or additives in this soil, it is ph neutral. Once made up and bagged, the textured soil is frozen at -20°c for 48+ hours, so you can use it straight out of the bag with confidence. No need to freeze before using.
