Munchy Museli Hamster Treat Mix

This is a hamster treat blend that's designed to be just like museli, but for hamsters. It has a lovely balanced blend of grains, berries and nuts. The mix weighs around 125g so will last a fair amount of time.

What's in the Munchy Museli Hamster Treat Mix

The munchy museli hamster treat mix contains:

• Naked oat groats
• Wholegrain flanders wheat
• Freeze dried raspberry pieces
• Freeze dried strawberry pieces
• Freeze dried mango pieces
• Sunflower seeds
• Walnut pieces
• dried coconut flakes
• Hulled millet

Is the Munchy Museli Mix Safe for Hamsters?

Everything in the mix has been frozen at -20°c for 48+ hours (with the exception of the freeze dried fruits as these have already been through a freezing process) so you can use it out of the bag with confidence.

How to use the Munchy Museli Treat Mix

I have left the mango and strawberry whole in the mix so they can be picked out easily. This makes it easier to regulate how much your hammy gets if you're trying to regulate their sugar. Or you can break them down much smaller and mix them into the rest of the grains and seeds for a mix that you can sprinkle in forage areas. 

Why was the Munchy Museli Treat Mix Created?

Flamey loves fruit, especially blueberries. I was looking for a way to give him fruit more often but without having to buy punnets that I then also had to eat after! The freeze dried fruits have been a huge success and combining them with his favourite breakfast grains and nuts was an ultimate win!

Please note, when exposed to air for any length of time the fruits begin to go soft. This is the same with most dried foods. This is fine for your hamster, it's just because the dried fruits or vegetables are absorbing natural moisture from the environment.
