What are pagima sprays?

Pagima green is a type of grass that has seed heads. The seeds are found in lots of hamster foods and are also popular among birds. Sprays are essentially natural stalks or pods that grains and seeds are grown in.

How do I use the pagima green sprays with my hamster?

You can just give the spray to your hamster, but it's common to use sprays for decoration or to help provide areas of cover for your hamster. The most common way to use them is to push the stalks into your hamsters bedding substrate so they stand up tall. Place them around areas that seem particularly open like food dishes, water dishes, substrates etc so your hamster feels like they have some cover.

Yes! Pagima green is safe and is enjoyed by many hamsters. It's low in fat and relatively high in protein and fibre and it's the kind of thing that they would encounter naturally in the wild.

How long will the pagima sprays last? 

They last for quite a long time depending on how long you leave them with your hamster and how much your hamster likes them. Sylvie has had pagima in her cage for a while and one of the sprays is nearly finished but she still has quite a few left that she hasn't touched yet. Hamsters tend to have specific preferences when it comes to sprays, so if your hamster doesn't eat the pagima then it will last for months and months as a cage decoration!
