Jute twine for hamster boredom breaker projects and furniture.

Why choose this jute twine for your hamster?

This jute twine is 100% natural and untreated with oil or chemicals. This is just natural twine that's safe to be used in DIY boredom breakers or for fixing furniture or hanging furniture in your hamster's cage.

How much jute twine will I get?

You'll get 3m of jute twine which is enough to make a couple of projects for your hamster. It's sent wound around a piece of cardboard. If you order multiples they will be sent as one continuous length unless you ask for them to be separated.

You can choose from two ply or three ply jute twine. Two ply is great for boredom breakers or things you want your hamster to chew through. Three ply is thicker and better for furniture or things you don't want your hamster to chew through.

What can I make for my hamster with this jute twine?

You can use jute twine to hold together boredom breakers, for instance when making seed parcels or crackers etc. You can use it to make garlands, just thread popcorn and other snacks onto the thread and hang it for your hamster. You can use it to hang furniture. This is the same Jute twine that I've used to hang up a swing for my hamster. There are lots of ways to use jute twine in your hamster boredom breaker projects.

Is jute twine safe for hamsters?

Jute twine is one of the safer strings to use for your hamster since it's made of natural fibres. However, it's important to use the twine carefully so that your hamster can't get tangled in it. The golden rule is to ensure you're not making any hanging loops or arranging in the cage in such a way that your hamster can get themselves tangled in it.

Does the jute twine smell?

Jute twine does have a natural smell to it. This tends to dissipate over time. In my experience hamsters aren't bothered by it, this doesn't mean it's treated, it's just the natural smell of the fibre.
