Grass Seed Mix for Hamsters

Small seeds can be particularly satisfying for hamsters to forage for, and this mix contains four different varieties for even more natural variety.

What’s in the Grass Seed Mix?

The mix contains pagima green seed, knaul grass seed, red fescue seed and Kentucky bluegrass seed.

Each pouch contains approximately 25g. That doesn't seem like much but grass seeds are very light, so you'll be getting a full pouch.

How can I use Grass Seed Mix?

Scatter a pinch around your hamster’s enclosure, sprinkle it into a dig box or hide it among safe substrates and forage. The small seeds encourage your hamster to search carefully and use their natural foraging skills.

You can also add a little to your hamster’s regular food or use it in homemade boredom breakers.

Is Grass Seed Mix hamster safe?

Yes. This is a food-grade treat mix intended for hamsters, rather than a commercial lawn-seed mixture. It contains no coatings, fertilisers, pesticides or germination treatments.

It should be offered as a treat or enrichment alongside a balanced hamster diet.

The mix has been frozen at -20°C for at least 48 hours before packing.
