Why give my hamster gammarus Shrimp?

These teeny shrimp are great for hamsters! Gammarus are high in protein and low in fat, making them a good option if you’re rotating protein treats or your hamster prefers smaller snacks.

How many gammarus do I get?

You get 10g or 30g of dried Gammarus shrimp. They're tiny so a 10g pouch will last a long time. I usually offer 1 or 2 every few days depending on what else Sylvie’s had in her food rotation.

How can I use gammarus with my hamster?

These work beautifully in enrichment toys, scatter feeding, or just as a nibble for bonding. Because they’re so small, you can even mix them into a foraging mix or hide them in toys.
