Dried Red Clover Flowers

Beautiful, delicate and full of natural colour, red clover flowers are a lovely way to add variety to your hamster's enclosure. They're perfect for sprinkling over existing forage, adding to sensory areas or scattering around the enclosure to encourage natural foraging behaviours.

How many red clover flowers do you get?

Each pack contains 5g of dried red clover flowers. They may be small, but a little goes a long way! Red clover is best used as an occasional addition to your hamster's forage rather than as a main ingredient, so a 5g pack will last much longer than you might expect.

Using dried red clover flowers with your hamster

Scatter a few flowers around your hamster's enclosure to encourage foraging, hide them amongst sprays, or mix them into your favourite forage blend for extra colour and texture. They're also lovely sprinkled over your hamster's substrate or added to dig boxes and sensory areas to create new scents and textures for your hamster to explore.

Are red clover flowers safe for hamsters?

Yes! Red clover flowers are safe for adult, non-pregnant hamsters when fed as part of a varied diet.

They should not be fed to pregnant hamsters, as red clover contains naturally occurring compounds that may stimulate uterine contractions.

As with all Hamster Helper forage, these flowers have been frozen at -20°C for 48+ hours to help ensure they're free from pests before reaching your hamster.
