Calci worms – Black solider fly larvae - Hamster Insect Treat

10g or 30g of hamster safe calci worms (black soldier fly larvae). These have already been frozen at -20°c for 48+ hours so you can use them straight out of the bag.

Why give my hamster Calci worms?

These chunky dried grubs are great for hamsters. Black Soldier fly larvae is high in protein, fat and fibre and absolutely packed with calcium so they make a great protein treat.

How many Calci worms do I get?

You get 10g or 30g of dried calci worms. They're chunky and should be fed sparingly so a 10g pouch will last a long time. I usually offer 1 or 2 a week depending on what else Sylvie’s had in her food rotation. They also make up part of her daily food mix.

How can I use Calci worms with my hamster?

These work beautifully in enrichment toys, scatter feeding, or just as a nibble for bonding. You can sprinkle or hide them in forage, under substrates or in toys.
