Amaranth, Marigold and Hibiscus Bewitched Hay Blend

A wild and wonderfully witchy blend of meadow hay, dark hibiscus, golden marigold and textured amaranth. Bewitched Hay Blend adds new scents, colours and textures for your hamster to investigate while giving them something interesting to forage through, rearrange and carry around their enclosure.

Each bag contains approximately 120g of hay blend.

The optional topper is kept separate so you can control how much food is added and use it gradually rather than having the whole portion mixed through the hay.

What’s in Bewitched Hay Blend?

The blend contains:

• Natural meadow hay

• Hibiscus

• Marigold

• Amaranth

All ingredients have been pre-frozen at -20°C for at least 48 hours, so the blend can be used straight from the bag.

A Note About the Amaranth

Dried amaranth flower heads have a naturally firm, prickly texture and can feel scratchy when handled. This is normal, but it’s worth knowing before plunging your hand enthusiastically into the bag!

Handle the blend gently and place it into the enclosure in loose handfuls rather than compressing it.

How to Use Bewitched Hay Blend

Add loose handfuls to forage areas, tunnels, hides or selected parts of your hamster’s enclosure. You can also mix small amounts through suitable bedding to introduce different textures and encourage natural exploring and collecting behaviour.

Hay should be used as additional enrichment rather than as a replacement for a deep layer of suitable burrowing substrate.

If you choose the Haunted Harvest Topper, sprinkle a small amount over or through the hay for your hamster to find. The remaining topper can be stored and used another day.

Is Bewitched Hay Blend Suitable for Hamsters?

Bewitched Hay Blend is suitable for Syrian, dwarf, Chinese and Roborovski hamsters.

The Haunted Harvest Topper is a complementary treat and should be offered alongside your hamster’s usual balanced diet.

Store the hay blend and any unused topper in a cool, dry place.
